By accessing or using JITSLAB ("the App," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not access or use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including free-tier users, BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) users, and Pro subscribers.
JITSLAB is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training application that provides the following core services:
You must register for an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have a parent or guardian's consent.
The Free tier includes core training log features: session CRUD, goals, partner management, dashboard, stats, custom tags, achievements, and profile settings. AI Coach, Video Library, Email Digest, Health Wearable Sync, and Batch Video Ingestion are not available on the Free tier.
The BYOK tier is free of charge. You provide your own API key from a supported third-party AI provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter). You are solely responsible for any costs, usage, or terms imposed by that third-party provider. JITSLAB does not store your API key in plaintext and handles it securely for the sole purpose of routing AI Coach requests.
The Pro tier is a paid subscription at $9/month (or $89/year). It includes all Free features plus AI Coach (shared backend), Video Technique Library, Email Training Digest, Health Wearable Sync, and Batch Video Ingestion. Pro subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store or process your payment card details directly. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly or annual basis, as applicable.
You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the Free tier. No partial refunds are provided for the remaining portion of a billing period.
New Pro subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. If you cancel during the trial period, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your first billing period will commence.
You retain ownership of all content you submit to the App, including training session data, notes, goals, and video annotations ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant JITSLAB a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.
You represent and warrant that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.

Your use of these services may be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. JITSLAB is not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party services.
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
Important: AI Coach output is generated by large language models (LLMs) and may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or inappropriate content. AI-generated feedback is provided for informational and entertainment purposes only and does not constitute professional coaching, medical advice, or legal advice.
You should not rely solely on AI Coach output for training decisions, injury prevention, competition strategy, or any other purpose. Always consult qualified BJJ instructors and medical professionals for personalised guidance. JITSLAB makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content.
Health Wearable Sync is offered as a Beta feature. It allows synchronisation of workout data (calories, heart rate, duration) between compatible wearable devices, Health Connect, and your JITSLAB training log via the Open Wearables (OW) SDK.
Important limitations:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, JITSLAB and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of AUD $100 or the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless JITSLAB, its operators, affiliates, and service providers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your use of the App, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, third parties, or JITSLAB. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Sections 5 (User Content), 9 (AI Coach Disclaimer), 10 (Health Wearable Sync Disclaimer), 11 (Limitation of Liability), 12 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved in the courts of New South Wales, Australia. You irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to you via email (if you have provided one) or through the App. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and JITSLAB regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
